How a theoretical mathematician discovered a huge opportunity in logistics and decided to build a solution.
The Founder's Journey
My name is Tomas, and I’m the founder of Perseuss. I began my journey as a theoretical mathematician, driven by a passion for solving complex problems. That path led me to Amazon, where I spent five years working on logistics technology at scale.
But even inside one of the most advanced logistical networks in the world, I saw massive inefficiencies: half-empty parcels, poorly utilized trucks, and routing that left money and time on the table. It made me realize that if these issues existed at Amazon, they were likely even worse for everyone else.
Hence, in late 2023, I left Amazon to start Perseuss. Our mission is simple: to eliminate waste in supply chains using intelligent and adaptable technology that empowers every fulfillment team, not just the big guys, to ship smarter.
We Began With a Specific Focus
The Problem
There are more than 160 billion parcels shipped globally every year. Most are packed manually, with little consideration for whether the chosen box is the most efficient.
Questions like "Can this fit into a smaller box?" or "Could splitting this get a cheaper rate?" are rarely asked, and even more rarely answered.
